Many of you are probably already aware this indie label is already releasing the upcoming Downpour soundtrack worldwide the 13th of next month. It turns out the company will also release a digital version of the Book of Memories soundtrack alongside the game’s March 27th release in the States and release the CD later on April 17th. The company also has plans to release Akira Yamaoka’s past soundtracks to Silent Hill Origins, Silent Hill Homecoming and Silent Hill Shattered Memories this year as well!

We are happy to announce the release of the full soundtrack to Silent Hill : Downpour worldwide on March 13, 2012.

The album will include the full score by Daniel Licht and the exclusive credit song, “Silent Hill” by Jonathan Davis of Korn.

Here is a preview tracks – Downpour: Intro and the US cover art to the album http://soundcloud.com/milanrecords/daniel-licht-downpour-intro

I thought this information would be of interest to the readers of Silent Hill Historical Society. We are also releasing on March 27, the soundtrack to Silent Hill: Book of Memories (music by Daniel Licht) and will release in 2012 also the soundtracks to Silent Hill 5, 6 and 7.

This is very exciting news! Shattered Memories and Homecoming soundtrack were offered as Gamestop pre-order bonuses but Origin’s soundtrack has never been available outside of Japan.

I really hope Milan Records will consider releasing the Silent Hill 1-4 and the movie soundtracks as well!

Regarding “Book of Memories”, the album is coming out digitally on 3.27 and on CD on 4.17. The music is also by Daniel Licht.

There’s no Pyramid Head or Sexy Nurses in Downpour…I think this interviewer is the only one disappointed to hear that.

December 2011 Preview: Hands on with Downpour (New Screens!) and Book of Memories

Posted By: Whitney   January 4th, 2012 | 12:00 am

Early in December I attended a Konami press event in San Fransisco and had the opportunity to try Silent Hill Downpour, Silent Hill Book of Memories and the HD Collection and talk with Silent Hill producer Tomm Hulett. I already played through most of the HD Collection back in September so I used my time to play-through Downpour and briefly try Book of Memories. Unfortunately, unlike my Downpour hands on preview last September, I could not record myself playing so no accompanying video preview this time around!

Lots of fun!
