Gecco Releasing Green Robbie Statue March 2016

Posted By: Whitney   December 1st, 2015 | 4:08 pm

Robbie Green (10)

This past April Gecco announced that they had two new Silent Hill statues in the works: Red Pyramid Thing with the Great Spear and another un-named character which turns out is another Robbie this time green!
(nope see update below!)

This new Robbie will release in March 2016 for $150 and will be distribution outside of Japan through D4Toys. Like the other three color variations released in 2014 he will come with a stand, pipe (hmm it’s gold…wonder if the Sewer Fairy gave it to him?) and chainsaw.

While I’m always excited for new Silent Hill merchandise I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed that this new statue is just a fourth Robbie color variation. I was really hoping for another character…. like say another protagonist? Or a different creature? I still reeeeeaaaalllly want a Twin Victim from Silent Hill 4 or a Closer from Silent Hill 3.

What do you guys think? Will you be adding this green Robbie to your collection?

Figure features
The head, arms and legs are covered with flocking. The fur is recreated with the right length of flocking so that it looks and feels exactly like the real costume. The painted blood on the flocking was a real challenge to achieve, but the hard work paid off, making this a truly unique collectible.

A steel pipe is included with the statue allowing the collector to display the statue as he appears in the video game as “Killer Rabbit.”

Also included is the vicious chainsaw weapon, covered with blood as it appeared in “Silent Hill 2” as a secret weapon, with the words “Together we are one” written across the blade.

The base is modeled after “Lakeside Amusement Park” made of wire mesh and steel plate.
Rust and puddles of blood are realistically painted on it.

About Robbie the Rabbit

Robbie the Rabbit is the mascot of “Lakeside Amusement Park” and featured prominently in the world of Silent Hill 3.

When Heather visits the amusement park, she finds the rabbit costumes laying on the ground, their mouths covered in blood. Unsure if someone is inside dead or alive, she approaches with caution.
Robbie also appears in later Silent Hill releases and because of his popularity is not only the mascot of Lakeside Amusement Park but the whole series of Silent Hill as well!

In the bonus movie “兎 usagi” included with the DVD “Lost Memories: THE ART & MUSIC OF SILENT HILL,” multiple Robbies are thrown together in the underground filled with blood, pus and rust.

The green Robbie appears for a few seconds on the elevator going up and down in the underground. The character creator of Robbie the Rabbit, Usagi Tanaka, handled the direction, CG and editing for the short film.

[UPDATE 12/08/2015]
Gecco let me know that this Green Robbie is not the 2nd mysterious statue in the works!

“…By the way the other creature to be release next year we talked about is not this Green Robbie. It is more like creature. Please look forward to the further information.”

Woo I can’t wait! Maybe my dream of a Twin Victim or Closer is still possible? 😀

Looks like Gecco Corp won’t be the only maker of Silent Hill Statues come next year. Japanese toy maker, Medicom Toy, is adding a precision 12″ fully articulated Robbie to their Real Action Hero line!

The RAH Robbie will be released July 2015 for approximately $250 in Japan and comes with a stand, chainsaw and steel. He looks really good from the sample photos I’m definitely going to add him to my own collection 🙂

You can pre-order one from Amiami for around $220

Silent Hill Book of Memories = First Silent Hill Multiplayer and More HD Collection Details UPDATE!

Posted By: Whitney   June 8th, 2011 | 4:54 am

At the special VIP even Konami revealed that the upcoming Silent Hill: Book of Memories for Sony’s upcoming Vita will be the series’ multiplayer debut. Brandon Cox actually hinted this to me on Thursday at the pre E3 event (but I couldn’t post about it until this morning 🙂 ) and I think it is pretty awesome I’m excited to see how this series will translate into a multiplayer experience.

Additionally, as I mentioned last night we have confirmation from Rely of Horror that Silent Hill HD Collection will also have new voice overs. Very exciting!!!

UPDATE! I just received word from a silent hill producer Tomm Hulett that Mary will be directing the new Voiceovers for the HD collection!

“Re: the announcement about Collection – it’s important to note Mary E is directing the new VO. :)”

Interview with Donna Burke (Voice Actress for Angela Orosco and Claudia Wolf)

Posted By: Whitney   April 26th, 2011 | 1:31 pm

Silent Haven sent Donna Burke, the voice actress for Angela Orosco and Claudia Wolf, some interview questions regarding her work on both Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 as well as any future Silent Hill involvement.

Silent Haven: What got you involved in Silent Hill? Why did Team Silent pick you?

Donna Burke: I auditioned.

Silent Haven: What kind of mind set did you have to be in for Angela Orosco in Silent Hill 2?

Donna Burke: Defensive and hurt but still hoping for good

Silent Haven: You made a reprising role in Silent Hill 3 as the strong voiced, evil Claudia Wolf was this harder or easier to get into character when comparing it to the disturbed Angela?

Donna Burke: Yes Claudia is an iconic roll- I loved it.

Silent Haven: Which role did you like better Claudia or Angela in terms of character and attitude?

Donna Burke: Claudia is so strong and acts out instead of reacting so it was definitely more exciting to play

Silent Haven: You are a very talented woman with your singing ranging from classical to techno to rock and your talent of being able to act as innocent yet disturbed teenager like Angela as well as an evil antagonist like Claudia Wolf; which of your talents do you prefer and why?

Donna Burke: I think singing is acting and it’s also something you can do on your own for your own pleasure. I love that acting moves people and touches their spirits. However music has another deeper power that can transcend language.

Silent Haven: There was a rumor you would do some singing in the new upcoming Silent Hill Downpour is this true?

Donna Burke: No comment but the answer is no

Silent Haven: Are you at all interested in seeing how Carrie-Anne Moss will portray your character Claudia Wolf in the upcoming Silent Hill movie?

Donna Burke: Absolutely! I love her and can’t wait to see what she does with the role. One weird thing is that when I shot Claudia’s role, I had brown curly mid length hair and now my hair is JUST like Claudia’s! Long, blonde and straight. I swear if I shaved off my eyebrows I’d be a spitting image of her now!

Silent Haven: Does any part of you miss working with Konami? What are your fondest memories during that time?

Donna Burke: I still work with Konami on different projects and hopefully will continue to do so for many years

Silent Haven: Do you plan on making a return to Silent Hill either in film or voice over? I know all Silent Hill fans look at you as an iconic figure in the Silent Hill universe.

Donna Burke: I’m waiting for a call from the producers! Maybe I could be Claudia’s good sister she locked in a cupboard..or her mother..no wait!! Her TWIN!!
