In this twenty-eighth episode I will be discussing last week’s heartbreaking news that Silent Hills is cancelled with fellow Silent Hill fans.
Don’t drag this out any longer.
The signs are all there: Kojima is leaving, P.T. is being pulled from PSN, and now this sad quote regarding Silent Hills from Guillermo del Toro during the San Francisco International Film Festival last night:
Will you just confirm that Silent Hills is cancelled already? 🙁
[Update]
Apparently the Guillermo quote that was passed around today was taken a bit out of context. The “it’s not going to happen” was in regards to collaborating with Kojima, not whether or not the game has been cancelled. As of right now Silent Hills’ status remains up in the air. This is the time to say something one way or another Konami. 🙁
In this twenty-seventh episode I will be discussing this week’s shocking announcement that video game designer and former Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Hideo Kojima is leaving the publisher and what this might mean for Silent Hills future.
Gareth McGilvray, a Scottish Silent Hill fan currently living in Australia reached out in regards to an ongoing fund-raiser for his younger sister Rachael. Rachael was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer and an inoperable brain tumor which sadly only leaves her with a year to live. Rachael’s boyfriend proposed this last Christmas and the family and Rachael would like to return to Scotland for her wedding (maybe for the last time) but given the short notice they need assistance to make her dream wedding happen.
To help raise funds Gareth and some friends will be holding 24 hour live stream March 14th playing through some Resident Evil and Silent Hill titles!

Happy “Sweet Sixteen” to my favorite entry in the entire franchise, the original Silent Hill! 16 years ago today was the start of an amazing series with its Jan 31, 1999 North American release! I can’t believe its been so long, it feels just like yesterday!
The folks behind Silent Hill Prelude has finally started their Indiegogo campaign!
Prelude is fan short film (aprox. 60 min) based strongly around the Silent Hill universe. This film’s purpose is to help provide background and context to the events, characters, and articles found within the first Silent Hill game. There was so much untold, and so much left unanswered within the notes found in Silent Hill 1 that Prelude will fill in the missing story pieces and provide more background to the events and characters leading up to the game. Prelude’s goal is to enrich your Silent Hill experience whether you are a seasoned fan or new to the genre.
This project has been in development for over 2 years and is now finally starting to gain the momentum to become a reality. Over the many years Silent Hill has given us a beautiful story to lose ourselves in and has held a very special place in our hearts. Hollywood has attempted to adapt many video games into major motion pictures, and although few have been successful many tend to stray from the original source material and as a result have fallen short. We feel that we owe it to not only ourselves, but the fans of Silent Hill a story that is original, but true to the games, and that is our story of Prelude.
You can view their test scene below:
The team is looking to raise $52,325 the break down is as follows:
Even if they don’t hit their goal they are still going to try and get the film made!
I’m really excited about this project! The test footage looked excellent, I hope to get the crew on my podcast soon to talk more about their project! 🙂

In this twenty-third episode I interview Silent Hill (2006) and Silent Hill Revelation composer Jeff Danna! I lost the initial interview I made with Jeff in January due to file corruption but Jeff was gracious enough to sit down again with me again in October and re record the interview!

I’m no cosplayer (can’t sew ;_;) but I love dressing up in scary costumes for Halloween using store bought things I cobble together 🙂 This year I put together a P.T. Lisa and “Unnamed Protagonist” costume for me and my dog Francis York Morgan (who is such a good sport). These photos were taken last Sunday before a party but I am dressing up today as Lisa for work!
PT Dude– The jacket/hoodie is store bought from Petco! It’s not the exact colors but I figured it was close enough! I’m quite proud of the little accessories and wig I made for him 🙂
Lisa – I’m bummed the makeup wouldn’t stay on my teeth though XD oh well! Hopefully I can make my teeth more messed up today…Since I can’t sew I dyed (and inked) a white store bought nightgown. I did all the makeup and I even cut and “styled” the wig I was wearing.
