So there’s only a week left until Revelation is released! Are you guys excited? I know I am. Open Roads just sent me some new stills, a HD version of the Dahlia and Heather clip and a new shorter version of the trailer to share. 🙂
Friday was a big day for Silent Hill fans… it was the premiere of the long awaited Silent Hill Revelation 3D trailer!
I’m sure you all have probably watched it by now but if not you can see the full trailer below:
Unfortunately I was busy at work when this trailer was released so I couldn’t really take screens nor could I make this sort of write up earlier. I’m sure I’m terribly late to the party of giving my own thoughts and everyone else has picked apart this trailer by by now! Haha oh well!
With that said, based on what I saw in the trailer I am so excited to see this movie.

During a stream today the Downpour Tokyo Gameshow 2011 trailer was shown. Now I haven’t seen it myself just yet and it hasn’t been posted online but I do know the much anticipated Korn opening theme plays through it. Luckily for us who can’t wait to hear it AestheticGamer was nice to rip the music and the sounds from the trailer and post it online:
Hmm not that bad, sure it’s different than previous opening themes, but I don’t think it was worth the preemptive hatred. I can see the song growing on me and may have more impact once I see the game visuals to go with it. Source (AestheticGamer)
Hopefully the full trailer will appear online within the next few hours 🙂 When it’s up I’ll be sure to post it ASAP.
Woo a recording of the ustream trailer was posted on youtube by the Silent Hill Wiki Thanks for the heads up Ashley Vendoc!
Update HD Trailer
Comments Off on Downpour TGS 2011 Trailer Contains the Korn Track! [UPDATED with HD Trailer]
Konami Marketing, for a minute there I thought you an I would of had to have a discussion on the proper way to create good buzz for an upcoming game. A “new” Downpour trailer was uploaded to youtube by GameStop Canada today which would usually be which would usually be a good thing since we love new trailers but this one was very disappointing.
Turns out that this wasn’t “meant for public eyes and was made over a year ago,” according to Konami. This is a big relief because there was clearly footage from older game builds being used in this sucker. The Void monster was still in it’s “smoke monster” place holder and a clearly a less detailed Murphy is seen at the 39 sec mark especially when compared to more recent game play footage from Comic Con 2011 (1 min mark):
Trailers usually don’t have developer notes in them either…”LIGHTING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT” “Default Speed” it really doesn’t scream polished nor worthy of a trailer.
Well other than that I did like the music and Mr. Monocle was…interesting? I assume that’s a boss (hopefully not the final one…). Hopefully the TGS 2011 will bring us a new legit Downpour Trailer to pick apart though!
