New Release Dates for Downpour, HD Collection and Book of Memories

KONAMI RELEASES NEW SCREENSHOTS AND RELEASE DATES FOR SILENT HILL FRANCHISE

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced the definitive release dates for the three 2012 Silent Hill franchise titles: Silent Hill HD Collection, Silent Hill Downpour and Silent Hill Book of Memories. Available nationwide this March fans can experience the horror and thrill that they’ve come to love while embarking on exciting new quests and challenges.

Silent Hill HD Collection: March 6.

Silent Hill HD Collection serves as a tribute to the core Silent Hill fans by taking the most famous games of the series, Silent Hill 2 & 3, and re-mastering them in high-definition graphics and adding new voiceovers.

Silent Hill Downpour: March 13.

Silent Hill Downpour follows the story of Murphy Pendleton, a convicted felon, who finds himself trapped in Silent Hill after his prison transport bus crashes. Silent Hill Downpour is the most expansive Silent Hill to date, as players can embark on side missions, explore the town and piece more of the mystery of Silent Hill together.

Silent Hill Book of Memories: March 27.

Available exclusively for the brand new PlayStation®Vita handheld device, Book of Memories is an all-new game in the Silent Hill series, with a unique premise and storyline. The story begins with a strange book that is received; inside that book is your entire life story and all of your memories. You discover that by altering what’s written you can actually change the past. You can write your own ideal history. And for the first time ever in a Silent Hill game, it will support multiplayer, so friends can share in the fright in a co-op mode.

Heather and James Costumes on Playstation Home

In celebration of the Silent Hill HD Collection (which was supposed to release later this month but has now been delayed) Playstation Home has a James and Heather outfit available for download. These costumes will go perfectly with the Nurse, Pyramid Head and Robbie costumes they released last year! Hey Konami where’s the Xbox love? I would pimp out my Xbox Live avatar with Silent Hill stuff if it was available!

So it was my birthday last week (Jan 5) and my friend Cj from Rely on Horror sent me a little present and I just got it in the mail today…

He made me a Stanley Stanley Coleman stalker journal and it’s pretty awesome XD and he even slipped in a Deadly Premonition reference (the page with “FK”) 🙂

Stanley is an unseen character from Silent Hill 3 who left Heather increasingly creepy notes from his diary over Brookhaven hospital. Now I know what Heather felt like…

Sooo we made a Silent Hill the Movie Fan Commentary…

Cj from Rely on Horror sent me Silent Hill on Blu-ray for Christmas and I suggested that we watch it together over Skype to break in the new Blu-ray player I got from Santa. Well one thing lead to another and we thought it would be fun to record our dialogue talking over the movie and we asked Michael from Silent Haven and Austin from Silent Hill Experienced to join us in the fun ( Destiny couldn’t make it 🙁 ).

All you have to do is play the file, wait for our cue on when and where to start the film, and then follow with us as we talk about each scene and make jokes.

Check Out the New Silent Hill HD Collection Screens!

Konami released new screens for the HD Collection, though watch out if you haven’t played Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 there are some game spoilers!

I have to say they look so much better than their previous batches and I see the grain filter has been turned on on the Silent Hill 2 screens. What do you guys think? Getting more excited for the release this month?
