Silent Hill 2 and 3 Playstation 3 Themes on PSN

Posted By: Whitney   February 15th, 2012 | 5:58 pm

Last week Playstation US released some Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 themes on the Playstation Network for purchase. I don’t have a Playstation 3 myself so I wasn’t able to check them out but Amy from Alchemilla Hospital.net has taken some pictures of the themes available and posted them up on her site!

Silent Hill 2 Premium Theme ($1.99) (4 styles)

Silent Hill 3 Premium Theme ($1.99) (4 styles)

Pretty snazzy if you ask me… but I find myself wondering yet again WHERE IS THE XBOX LOVE KONAMI?!?!

Kotaku – Silent Hill 2 HD Collection Voice Comparisions…Hear the New Angela!

Posted By: Whitney   February 10th, 2012 | 4:16 pm

Kotaku has made a video comparing the new and old voices in the Silent Hill 2 HD collection.I really like Angela since she sounds like her age and I still think Mary E’s Mary is too deep. What do you guys think? Head over to Kotaku and take listen (sorry there’s no way for me to embed the video from their site):

Amazon is offering a pretty sweet deal for those looking to order all the Silent Hill titles coming this March. You can get a $5 Credit for pre-ordering the HD collection to put towards the purchase of Silent Hill: Book of Memories or Silent Hill: Downpour!

Pretty sweet deal if you ask me! So you could knock off $5 off Downpour by pre-ordering HD Collection and another $10 off Book of Memories by pre-ordering Downpour!

Silent Hill HD Collection Japanese Release Date and Cover

Posted By: Whitney   January 30th, 2012 | 1:28 am

Konami Japan has listed March 29, 2012 and 4,980 yen as the release date and price of the HD Collection on the PS3 in Japan and even gave a picture of the cover! I doubt it will see an Xbox 360 release though… I have to say I like the American cover a lot better. What do you guys think?

Is Silent Hill HD Collection Also Coming To PSN And XBLA?

Posted By: Whitney   January 26th, 2012 | 4:54 pm

Siliconera spotted PEGI ratings for Silent Hill 2 and 3 as individual titles for PS3 and Xbox 360 which means we could get each game individually via the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade:

With help from Bluepoint Games, Konami remastered three Metal Gear Solid games and sold them on a single disc as Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Then Konami split up the package and sold each game separately on PlayStation Network in Japan. Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and Peace Walker will also be re-released on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.

It appears Konami will use the same strategy for Silent Hill HD Collection. Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 were rated as standalone PS3 and Xbox 360 titles by PEGI, Europe’s video game rating board.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m still planning on buying the collection on disc but I think it’s nice to have the option!
