Gecco – Still working on the RPT Statue Prototype!

Back in April 2015 I reported that Gecco Corp were working on two new statues based on characters from Silent Hill 2, one of which was Red Pyramid Thing with the Great Spear. It’s been awhile since we heard from Gecco so I sent them an email last week for an update. I was informed that they are still working on the new RPT statue prototype with Masahiro Ito. No hints on what the other SH2 statue will be yet but I’m hoping we will get some sort of update on the RPT statue soon over on their FB page!

Hello Whitney,

Thank you so much for asking, and we are very sorry to have kept you waiting.

We are still working on the prototype of new RPT having thorough supervising from Mr. Ito, and keep improving it.

We’ll announce the situation on our Facebook if there’s any update.

Thank you for your support.

lostdays

The first trailer for FoG Films live action feature film adapting Silent Hill & Silent Hill 3 video games, FROM THE LOST DAYS, has arrived! Fans may remember FoG Film’s first foray in the Silent Hill fan film territory with their adaption of Silent Hill 2, Broken Notes, back in 2008. Like Broken Notes, From the Lost Days will be shot in Spanish but will be subtitled in English!

I interviewed the director Alex Slevin about this film during their first Kickstarter campaign back in 2014 and I’m so excited that it is finally coming together. 🙂

You can check out the trailer for Vol. 1 that covers the events of the first Silent Hill game below, and if you haven’t already be sure to follow the production of the movie on the Official Lost Days Facebook!

Silent Hill on Vinyl and Posters from Mondo!

Posted By: Whitney   April 5th, 2016 | 12:54 pm

Some exciting news dropped today! Mondo announced that they are working in partnership with Konami to release a series of posters, vinyls and other collectibles from some of their most popular games: Castlevania, Contra annnnnd Silent Hill!

If you are headed to Emerald City Comicon in Seattle April 7 be sure to stop by Mondo’s booth (#4132) to purchase a Silent Hill print by Sam Wolfe Connelly! The print features a nurse shambling down a dark hallway with a scratched “Silent Hill” title down the right side. A variant in red and in Japanese is also available at the booth as well. No word on the price but both prints are extremely limited with only 125 of the normal and 75 for the variant available. I sure hope they will pop up on ebay!

No concrete date for the Silent Hill soundtracks on vinyl just yet but Mondo says that they are on the way. I can’t wait to see what sort of cool cover art they will commission for those as well 🙂

Gecco Releasing Green Robbie Statue March 2016

Posted By: Whitney   December 1st, 2015 | 4:08 pm

Robbie Green (10)

This past April Gecco announced that they had two new Silent Hill statues in the works: Red Pyramid Thing with the Great Spear and another un-named character which turns out is another Robbie this time green!
(nope see update below!)

This new Robbie will release in March 2016 for $150 and will be distribution outside of Japan through D4Toys. Like the other three color variations released in 2014 he will come with a stand, pipe (hmm it’s gold…wonder if the Sewer Fairy gave it to him?) and chainsaw.

While I’m always excited for new Silent Hill merchandise I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed that this new statue is just a fourth Robbie color variation. I was really hoping for another character…. like say another protagonist? Or a different creature? I still reeeeeaaaalllly want a Twin Victim from Silent Hill 4 or a Closer from Silent Hill 3.

What do you guys think? Will you be adding this green Robbie to your collection?

SILENT HILL 3 / Robbie the Rabbit 1/6 Scale Statue, Green Ver.

Figure features
The head, arms and legs are covered with flocking. The fur is recreated with the right length of flocking so that it looks and feels exactly like the real costume. The painted blood on the flocking was a real challenge to achieve, but the hard work paid off, making this a truly unique collectible.

A steel pipe is included with the statue allowing the collector to display the statue as he appears in the video game as “Killer Rabbit.”

Also included is the vicious chainsaw weapon, covered with blood as it appeared in “Silent Hill 2” as a secret weapon, with the words “Together we are one” written across the blade.

The base is modeled after “Lakeside Amusement Park” made of wire mesh and steel plate.
Rust and puddles of blood are realistically painted on it.

About Robbie the Rabbit

Robbie the Rabbit is the mascot of “Lakeside Amusement Park” and featured prominently in the world of Silent Hill 3.

When Heather visits the amusement park, she finds the rabbit costumes laying on the ground, their mouths covered in blood. Unsure if someone is inside dead or alive, she approaches with caution.
Robbie also appears in later Silent Hill releases and because of his popularity is not only the mascot of Lakeside Amusement Park but the whole series of Silent Hill as well!

In the bonus movie “兎 usagi” included with the DVD “Lost Memories: THE ART & MUSIC OF SILENT HILL,” multiple Robbies are thrown together in the underground filled with blood, pus and rust.

The green Robbie appears for a few seconds on the elevator going up and down in the underground. The character creator of Robbie the Rabbit, Usagi Tanaka, handled the direction, CG and editing for the short film.

[UPDATE 12/08/2015]
Gecco let me know that this Green Robbie is not the 2nd mysterious statue in the works!

“…By the way the other creature to be release next year we talked about is not this Green Robbie. It is more like creature. Please look forward to the further information.”

Woo I can’t wait! Maybe my dream of a Twin Victim or Closer is still possible? 😀

Oh my! I never thought I would ever see a Silent Hill themed gashapon.

@TOYminiNEWS tweeted a picture of the full Robbie kychain lineup along with a vague release date of “December” this morning.

The set contains 3 pink and 3 blue variations of the mascot weaponless, holding a pipe, and lastly holding a chainsaw.

You can pre-order a bag of 10 toys for $27.99 at Big Bad Toy Store.

Not a lot more information so far but I know I’m hoping they will expand the line to include other Silent Hill characters!

From the Lost Days a new Fan Film on Indiegogo

Last year Alex Slevin of FoG Films tried to crowdfund his fan film, From the Lost Days – Silent Hill 15th Anniversary Film, a live action feature film that adapted both the Silent Hill & Silent Hill 3 video games through Kickstarter. Unfortunately the project wasn’t funded back then but thankfully the team is trying again on Indieogogo!

Fans may remember FoG Film’s first foray in the Silent Hill fan film territory with their adaption of Silent Hill 2, Broken Notes, back in 2008. Like Broken Notes, From the Lost Days will be shot in Spanish but will be subtitled in English with more language subtitles options hopefully in the future.

concept

The campaign has 20 days left to reach their goal of €2,500 EUR. If the project reaches its crowdfunding goal filming will begin next month in various locations in the Alicante province of Spain, with a tentative release sometime in the first quarter of 2016.

From interview with Alex last year and seeing the cast, location photos and pre production artwork on the Facebook and Indiegogo page I am really excited to see Lost Days happen! The first game is my favorite in the series so it will be a real treat to see a more faithful film adaptation.

Full Press Release

Fog · Films a spanish film production association, which spent seven years doing independent productions, is finalizing the details on preproduction

for his next film “FROM THE LOST DAYS,” a new adaptation of the cult Silent Hill video game series.

The first attempt to adapt the Silent Hill series came with “BROKEN NOTES” which was done with a very low budget but nevertheless It had a significant impact on the internet thanks to fans of the popular franchise created by Konami in 1999. This group of filmmakers has decided to launch a more solid and ambitious project for which they seek funds and other support through the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.

The aim is to create a faithfully adaptation of the Sillent Hill plot and characters trying to move away from the typical clichés and commercial film conventions in this type of productions.

“FROM THE LOST DAYS” is an adaptation of the first and third Silent Hill games. It has the enigmatic plot, the strange places and the even stranger characters taken from the games, but arranged to create a coherent single feature film.

If the project reaches the crowdfunding goal it will be filmed in various locations in the province of Alicante in Spain during August 2015.

The objective is to deliver the film in the first quarter of 2016.

The Fog·Films association appreciates any support or broadcasting shows that could help us to move forward with this non-profit project.

P.T. Wiped From PSN and Can’t Even Be Re-Downloaded

Posted By: Whitney   May 6th, 2015 | 12:22 pm

gameiusedtoknow

Well like Silent Hills, P.T. is officially gone. (on the US PSN atm)

Last week, a day after P.T.’s de-listing, Eurogamer tested to see if P.T. could be recovered if deleted from a PS4 and found to fan’s relief that, yes, P.T. remained in your downloads for re-download if you had the demo on your PS4.

Well this isn’t the case anymore.

Last night news broke that P.T. has been eradicated from PSN servers.

siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Konami is doing their best to make any and all references to Silent Hills obsolete and it will officially become a game I used to know.
