Another Silent Hill: Revelation Lakeside Amusement Park set walkthrough by emaninTdot, with better shots of the Robbies, other game stands and the carousel!
According to this article/interview with Don Carmody by The Globe and Mail we might see this scene:
Well…maybe, the scene involves a Styrofoam head falling and this was a scene that first came to my mind so I’m hoping it’s related!
In a corner of a cavernous west Toronto warehouse, about a dozen people are sitting on folding chairs staring at side-by-side JVC television monitors. We’re on the set of the action-horror movie Silent Hill Revelation 3-D. The scene on the monitors, which is being filmed a few feet away, behind a partition, involves a bunch of objects, including a Styrofoam head, repeatedly falling off a shelf. Every few minutes, a buzzer sounds, signalling a new take.
Glamorous movie-making, this is not.
Among the spectators, observing with the calm and steady gaze of a visiting surgeon in an operating theatre, is Canadian producer Don Carmody, as casually dressed as one of his crew, brown hair falling over his square face.
If you’re thinking “small-time Canadian movie,” it’s time to change your mental lens. The first Silent Hill, released in 2006 and based on a video game, earned more than $100-million worldwide.
What do you guys think? Wishful thinking on my part?
More set photos of Lakeside Amusement Park from Silent Hill: Revelation have appeared online. The Torontoist posted last night some foggy shots of the set. In the photos we can see a lot of rides in the park including a very large ferris wheel and several tents! I have the say with the fog it really looks like Silent Hill!
WHERE: Cherry Beach/Port Lands.
WHEN: After 10 p.m., yesterday.
WHAT: Last night, fog rolled over a fully realized amusement park, what we’re almost certain is a set for Silent Hill 3D. The results were perfectly cinematic and eerie—and, in the right light, beautiful.
The scene was described by Torontoist photographer Christopher Drost, who was tipped off by a friend about the shoot: “While I’m sure the heavier fog held off production, the moisture helped provide a surreal backdrop for the surrounding location—for both the cinematography and the photography taking place. The set consisted of a giant head, various “concession booths,” and several rides, including a carousel, which was the focal point of the shoot.”

Comments Off on Even More Lakeside Amusement Park Images!
This morning Silent Haven posted an image of what I believe is the front entrance to Lakeside Amusement park from Silent Hill Revelation since the clown head you walk through matches the clown from the posters shown in some of the early set photos. I think it’s kinda cool it’s in some woods…adds spookiness in my opinion. I can’t wait to see more!
Big news everyone! We have confirmation that Carrie Anne Moss (The Matrix Trilogy, Memento, Unthinkable, Chocolat) while Leonard Wolf is being played by Malcolm McDowell (Easy A, Entourage, A Clockwork Orange)! Continue reading to see the full press release and a new movie still!
Ride set up for the movie shoot of “Silent Hill Revelation 3D” is tomorrow. If you see the movie when it comes out in theaters tell us what rides/games/support equipment you see….
So far there’s a gallery of a ride called “Ring of Fire” on their facebook. I’m not sure if it’s in anyway related to the shoot but I hopefully more info will be available from fans on set or Michael Bassett himself in the next couple days!
According to a blurb in September 2010 issue EMPIRE magazine this Oscar winning actress was sent a script for Silent Hill: Revelation
“Is Dame Maggie Smith about to make a career first? The twice OSCAR winning British actress has reportedly announced she was sent a script for a “little horror film called “Silent Hill 2″”, the Harry Potter actress is quoted to have said. The actress, who won her first Academy Award in 1969 for “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” was said to have received the script last week and was overheard talking about it to a friend. If she chooses to accept the unknown role in the game adaptation sequel, this will mark the Dame’s first outing into the horror genre.”
Michael J. Bassett did mention a “Major Surprise Casting” announcement, do you think Smith could be it? If she is cast, who do you think she would play? Not Claudia…she way to old for the role hmm maybe another senior cult member? If Smith does end up joining the cast it would be pretty epic!
The movie has only just begun filming and there’s already rumors about how the movie ends. In case any of you don’t want to see any sort of spoiler true or false I’ll put this under a spoiler tag.
According to favouritez, who provided the first shots of Heather in her full costume they believe they saw the ending scene to Silent Hill Revelation being filmed. They describe the possible ending as below:
He just outside. They’re filming another scene, with Kit Harrington as well. So that actor is confirmed regardless of what IMDB says.
*Possible Spoiler*
I have a strong feeling this scene is the end of the movie, as the set is the entrance/exit of the town and they’re walking towards the bridge (Heather and Kit’s character). They also appear to be a couple (holding hands). He’s wearing jeans and a gray suit vest over a white shirt with rolled up sleeves. Heather is still in her costume but it is much dirtier than in previous scenes.
So Heather and Vincent may be an item? And to think I was joking about Kit playing Heather’s boyfriend in the last Silent Hill Experienced Podcast. Hmm I’m not sure about this it really comes down to what they do with this new and younger Vincent character. If he’s just as an asshole as he is in Silent Hill 3 I can’t see Heather getting with him unless he gets a personality change…
