Korean Downpour Cover [Update]

We finally have a clear look at cover created by Masahiro Ito! Tell you the truth I’m pretty disappointed and I’m not fond of this cover at all. I much prefer the US and PAL ones… I think what bothers me most about is how the game logo is just slapped on there. It’s not integrated with the artwork at all. The cover should have stuck with the text only logo like the US and PAL covers did. I find the logo with the town background really takes away from the impact of the artwork and over all it looks way out of place. I’m not really digging the subject matter of this cover either as I’m getting neither a Silent Hill or much of a water feel from the screaming and slightly distorted person.
What do you guys think?

Thanks to Alchemist pointing out in the comments that this is actually a Korean cover using Ito’s artwork. It was late and I just assumed it was the Japanese one lol. I updated the title 🙂

I don’t want to be a wisecracker but the Cover is from the Korean Version (it’s still Asian though), you can see on the Bottom under Symbols Hangul Characters.
You’re right :/ the logo isn’t great. But I really like the touch of the artwork :; it gives me the impression that someone is stuck behind a window while the romm is slowly filling with water… Give me the chills, kinda… Well, two days left for you, americans, to play with Downpour!!!! So lucky 🙂
Warning : it may only be rumors or some fools sppreading wrong news but, apparently, several shops in Paris are already selling the game o_O one forum afiliated to a french video game website is talking about it ; apparently, the story is pretty good and monster chara design are average (some are very good, and others :S), the game isn’t that scary BUT you’re always under pressure ; graphics are quite good but not amazing and freeze are appearing while auto-save. Music is damn good. Last but not least, you can really get lost in town because it’s huge…
I don’t know if it’s true or not ; but that’s what I’ve been reading :/
I have to say I kinda agree with the person about the face pressed against the water thing-it’s kinda creepy to me also-and it gives me the feeling of terror and desperation that you might feel after being list in Silent Hill and chased by monsters in pouring rain for days. In that regard -gotta give the cover a thumbs up.
But I’m also a total SILENT HILL FAN-do I’d prob LOVE any cover!!!
Wish I could afford to buy one from each country!
I’m torn on all of Downpour’s Covers. Each one holds an element of intrigue for me, yet they each don’t really “grab” me.
I agree that the logo looks out of place; but I adore the logo itself. 🙂

Is downpour in 3d for ps3??
It’s 3D for both PS3 and Xbox 360

I like this cover actually better than the other two Whitney. 😛 It doesn’t look slapped on there to me, and gives much more of a… shall we say “chilling” atmosphere than just Murphy in the background with his face slightly over the top of the cover. Meh, but then again it’s not the cover that really matters right? 😀 Just need to wait until work is over then I can finally start to enjoy the game. 😀
