Not quite sure when this happened but it looks like Japan has their Silent Hill Shattered Memories Mircrosite up in preparation for the upcoming March 25 release. I can’t read Japanese but from what I seen it’s similar to the US site in which the visitors are given a psych evaluation along with general game information and a trailer.

New blog post by Tomm discusses what one should expect while playing Silent Hill: Shattered Memories…I bet this is in response to all the critics upset to find that Climax wasn’t lying…it isn’t a straight remake.

I’m not sure why so many critics claim there’s nothing like the original Silent Hill there are A LOT of parallels and it’s not just the names.

The “Art” of Re-Imagination

From what I can tell the psych profile in the beginning only effects how Cybil looks and how some of the secondary characters look in their profile snapshots:

1) Not answering, skipping the therapy or picking all three = Nice and professional looking Cybil
2) Liking Horror Movies and identifying with the color red = Sexy Cybil
3) Chasing down a robber = Hard Ass Cybil

Once you are in the site you mouse curser becomes the flashlight beam in the town. Rolling over certain objects activates different sections of the site:

a couple short gameplay videos
screenshots
community
character information
blog.

If you leave the flashlight on to long a crowd of rawshocks will surround you and a video of an otherworld chase scene will play. This can be avoided if you quickly turn off the flashlight.

At the moment the blog isn’t working (it just reloads the site) but I’m sure they’ll get it up soon

Konami redesigned their website and with that redesign came some new PSP screens taken sometime during Comic Con 2009. Looks like “sexy cop” Cybil likes to smoke. Sadly there’s still no PS2 screens up just ones from the PSP and Wii. The Official Silent Hill: Shattered Memories site isn’t working at the moment but I hope it’s because they are getting that microsite up!

I just got a “Silent Hill: Shattered Memories” google alert with an update from a designer’s portfolio…looks like we can expect an interesting new Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Official website soon 🙂 I think it looks good so far!

After reading Siliconera.com’s update on the Wii release I decided to check if anything has changed with Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on Gamestop. There was something new! There’s a now a cover picture and a December 1 release date for the BradyGames Wii/PSP/PS2 strategy guide:
