Yet another Mexican retailer is offering Silent Hill Downpour/ HD Collection Pre-order bonuses! Game Rush, Blockbuster’s video game division, is offering two in-game weapons: Nail Gun and the Double Axe along with laptop cases for both Downpour and the HD collection.

How awesome! I’m curious to see what the cases will look like!

Gamers Retail Stores Now Offering In-Game Weapons Codes with Pre-Order

Posted By: Whitney   January 25th, 2012 | 12:43 pm

Looks like Gameplanet isn’t the only Mexican game retailer offering in-game weapons now! Gamers.vg, who was already offering a snazzy Downpour mug for pre-orders back in August, has now added two new in-game weapon codes to their bonus for a golf club and what looks to be a rifle or a shotgun…I can’t tell which as the picture is too small.

No word on how they will stack up to the 45 pistol, baseball bat, nail gun or double axe offered by other retailers.

Gameplanet Now Offering Additional Downpour Pre-Order Bonuses

Posted By: Whitney   January 23rd, 2012 | 9:07 pm

Adding salt to my wound of disappointment over the lack of decent bonuses here in the States it looks like fans in Mexico can now add in-game weapons to their pre-order bonuses. Gameplanet is now offering the bat and pistol 45 Amazon is offering with their pre-order in addition to the Downpour flashlight and Korn Opening song Documentary on a USB stick.

Wow American fans really got the short of the stick this time around! Hehe Anyone in Mexico willing to make a pre-order for me? 🙂

Amazon’s Silent Hill Downpour Preorder Bonuses

Posted By: Whitney   January 23rd, 2012 | 7:39 pm

Amazon has revealed their pre-order bonus… two in-game weapons a “Pistol 45” and “Baseball Bat” along with a $10 Amazon credit just for pre-ordering the game.

The $10 credit definitely makes Amazon’s pre-order deal more appealing than Gamestop’s in my opinion…but offering in-game weapons just seems so silly considering Downpour’s inventory system. You wouldn’t be able to hang on to them for long 🙁 I would much rather a physical item!

Gamestop’s Downpour Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

Posted By: Whitney   January 20th, 2012 | 10:20 am

Gamestop has revealed it’s Downpour pre-order bonus which is a code to get some in game weapons: a nail gun and a double axe.

Bonus Items

In-Game items!

Pre-order Silent Hill Downpour with GameStop and receive exclusive In-Game items!

Nail Gun: Building a house or killing some monsters? Nail guns provide more ammo in the clip than the normal gun, which makes you able to kill more monsters at one time!

Double Axe: Getting medieval with this very powerful melee weapon. It will come in handy during those battles with screaming monsters.

Online Customers: A code with instructions will be emailed to you within 2 business days after your order ships.

Store / In-Store Pickup Customers: A code with instructions will be printed on your receipt at time of purchase.

I got to say I’m very disappointed, I was hoping for a shirt or even a poster like the bonuses offered in Australia… heck even Mexico’s flashlight and mug with the usb stick with a making of Korn’s theme song would have been cooler in my book…but I’m a fan who likes physical items I can add to my collection. What do you guys think?

Details of the Downpour Soundtrack Emerge from Dan Licht

Posted By: Whitney   January 17th, 2012 | 10:28 am

Cj of Rely on Horror got into contact with Dan Licht about the Downpour soundtrack and he gave some interesting tidbits

After the Amazon listing for the Silent Hill Downpour OST appeared on the site without many details, I sent composer Dan Licht an email asking if he can elaborate some more on what can be expected from this soundtrack.

Dan stated there will be “about 18 tracks” and it will be “about an hour long”. The OST will be sold by Milian Records.

Woo! Another hour of Silent Hill music to add to my iPod. I can’t wait!

Downpour Soundtrack up for Pre-Order on Amazon

Posted By: Whitney   January 16th, 2012 | 10:08 am

Looks like you can pre-order the Downpour game soundtrack over on Amazon for $15…I’m a little disappointed since I was hoping it would be included as a pre-order bonus somewhere but at least we know we can get our hands on it! I’ve got mine pre-ordered!
