Climax Studios hit 3,000 fans last week and unveiled their latest contest yesterday! This time their goal is to hit 5,000 fans and they also want to see your coolest and most precious piece of Silent Hill memorabilia for a chance to win another SH artwork signed by the development team and an art filled USB!

So all you have to do is pick your favorite Silent Hill themed item (can be anything, it doesn’t have to be official!) and post it on Climax Studios Facebook contest post!

Oh man it’s going to be hard to pick just one thing since I consider almost everything in my own collection precious!

In an interview with Siliconera, Dave Cox, producer of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, mentioned that he would like to see Konami give the Silent Hill series the reboot treatment:

What do you guys think? Do you think Silent Hill needs a reboot?

Personally, I don’t think it does considering all the news games lately are their own contained stories… but with that said, I think a reboot could be fun. It would be interesting to see how they could re-imagine Silent Hill maybe they could show the town during the cult’s hey day before Alessa’s burning?

This really does seem to be the year of Silent Hill goodies! Gaya Entertainment has acquired a license to make Silent Hill themed merchandise and so far have a made a Lakeside Amusement Park themeed t-shit and wristband. I can’t wait to see what they come out with next!

Oh I really wish I would be about to attend this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany August 21-25! Konami will have a cool Halo of the Sun t-shirt and a Robbie plush for sale! How cool is that? I really hope they will continue to sell these after the con I would love to add them to my own collection.

The Climax Studios Facebook page has has been been teasing a special Silent Hill competition to celebrate their 25 years of making games for a bit now. Well they finally revealed the prizes, a Rawshock concept art poster and a USB filled with artwork and images of their Silent Hill work, and what you have to do to win!

Mamegyorai updated their store website today with 27 detailed images of the upcoming Heather Statue! The site also lists that the statue will run ¥12,420 and release December this year in Japan.

Toymunkey Studios announced on their website that their San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Silent Hill 2 statues are up for pre-order directly through their website. The Red Pyramid Thing with Mannequin ($155) and red boot Bubble Head Nurse ($125) variants can be purchased directly at the show while supplies last, or you can be guaranteed one by pre-ordering online and picking it up at the show or purchase them directly through Toymunkey’s website and have them shipped during the show.
