Celebrating the release of Silent Hill Origins and Shattered Memories on the Playstation Store, Konami Europe wants to know what YOUR top scariest moments are in Silent Hill!

They are looking for short videos made by the fans to describe or re-create their favorite scary moment from the whole Silent Hill series. The best ones will be compiled in a ‘Top Scary Moments in Silent Hill’ video, and shared on all our official social channels.

There will be a call to action video online soon but I was asked to give you guys a heads up a little earlier! You guys have until May 2, 2014 to get those videos in! Once I have more information I will be updating this post.

The video is up! The deadline has been extended to May 11th!

  1. That moment when u fight the very first enemy in any of the silent hill games because u dont know wht is coming for u

My all time most unnerving Silent Hill experience was in The first game where you entered the Otherworld Midwich Elementary School for the first time. Aside from never truly seeing Otherworld before this, the silence while you wandered around the bloodied school just made you feel like you were in a very wrong place that shouldn’t exist. On top of that, you were in an elementary school – a place of innocence that is no longer innocent.

However, my biggest WTF shock moment was the Eileen face room, SH4. 🙂 Don’t know how to describe. For 3 or 4 seconds I felt like my life was in danger IRL.

I think the scariest moment was in SH 2 when you go into the “Basement’s Basement” in the Brookhaven Hospital. Earlier you saw a note about someone dropping their ring and not wanting to go back for it. When you go to the door, you hear distorted baby cries and scratching. I expected there to be gray children but there was… nothing. Kind of anticlimactic, but still creepy.

I know this is probably old news, but I always found the idea of the fourth floor disturbing. Lack of logic in horror games always gets to me, and I really wish there’d be more.
