After months of silence Toymunkey Studios, the former US distributor of Gecco’s Silent Hill themed merchandise, updated their facebook page Thursday afternoon assuring fans open and new orders will be fulfilled or refunded from this point forward:

Additionally, a slew of images of Gecco’s upcoming Heather statue were uploaded but as of Friday afternoon all have been removed from the page. This new activity certainly got fans talking and hopes rose with in the community that maybe Toymunkey and Gecco had worked things out since the termination of their partnership last October.

I sent an email to Gecco asking whether their partnership with Toymunkey was renewed and find out a possible a window fans outside of Japan could expect to see their new merchandise for sale domestically. What I learned however was that Toymunkey’s termination from last October still stands:

SHHS: “Is Toymunkey working with you again to distribute the Heather and Robbie statues and the Gecco products in the US and other countries?”

Gecco:”No, we’ll never ever work with Toymunkey [again]. We are preparing [to sell] our products in the US and other countries with a new partner.”

So as of right now there’s no named distributor for Gecco’s products outside of Japan but Gecco is in the process of forming a new partnership. If you are looking to order the new Heather and Robbie statues you will have to import them from Japan as Toymunkey will not be distributing them.

I’m really confused by Toymunkey’s actions…Was there maybe some sort of miscommunication? I’m not sure what all this means in regards to their promise to fulfill or refund outstanding orders but I will keep you all updated when and if I hear anything more.

I have no criticism towards Toymunkey that matters besides I STILL DON’T HAVE MY STATUE I PAID FOR IN JUNE. If they want to show any sort of activity in the hopes that it will get them more sales, OK, maybe not super ethical but OK. I don’t care; all I want is my statue and I’ll be able to forget all my frustration about it.
