Frame rate glitching stuttering is worse for me with patch clean install and new game…..it is worse. screen tearing is still an abomination of horrific amateur night programming. This game defines the word travesty. everything about it is abysmal. Im glad vatra are shut down and tom hullett is the definition of a piece of trash

When did they add maps that show where you are exactly at like in devils pit? Frame rate is better and no lag going through doors.

  6. Carlos says:

    still the same

I think this patch ruined the silent hill historical society glitch.

Just downloaded the patch last night as my patience with the technological glitches in the game got the better of me. I didn’t even know about the patch until last night so when the PS3 gave me the good news, I thought cool maybe now I can actually play the damn game. Sadly to say then when I got going with it, there are still frame rate issues from the get go. I loaded a save game that has me about to enter the monastery, well more in the movie theater area which was particularly unforgiving with frame skips and freezes anyway. The glitches are still there. I know a lot of people hold Konami responsible for the disappointments that this game is riddled with, frame rates, sporadic saves for no apparent reason, FREEZES, but let’s not forget about Vatra either. If memory serves correctly, they are the ones that actually developed it. Konami is merely the publisher, there’s a difference. And while I’m certain that Team Silent would have given us a better experience here, and I wish they did develop this game, it’s Vatra that made a mess with one of our favorite titles. Maybe Konami will read the posts from the community and think about who they work with in the future.

    Hi,

i decided gives a second chance to SH D before the patch notice…but….horror!!! still the game are affected by bugs and awfull framerate 🙁 problems begins specially after finished devil pit, when you are in the town…

what kind of bad patch is this???

  10. Ernst says:

Well, the patch isn`t working properly here in Scandinavia either.
The game is still lagging or freezes up.
I`m hoping this will be taken care of soon,as it`s ruining the whole feel and experience of this game. I`v had several of my friends saying that this could`ve been a good game if it hadn`t been for all the trouble with the lag and framerate issues.
