Volcano causes Konami delays in Australia
Air freight backed up substantially
According to Mindscape, the Wii version of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will definitely be delayed along with Puzzle Chronicles on the DS and PSP, not to mention Karaoke Revolution on the PS3 and Wii.
Scene It? Twilight on the Wii and DS, GTi Supermini Fiesta on the Wii, and Sports Island on the DS may also be pushed back.
Mindscape told Kotaku: “Due to the second eruption of the Iceland volcano and further disruption to flights, our shipment of Wii stock will be delayed. One of the world’s leading freight forwarders, Expeditors, has advised this morning that, due to the substantial freight shipments that are building up around the world, they are uncertain how quickly the backlog will be cleared.”
heh, i first thought it was ironic, but then i was “what’s so ironic about it?”
anyways, thats really bummer for all the aussies, and for that guy from Zero Punctuation (who is a SH fan (or atleast SH2 fan)) who lives in Australia
Yeah it really sucks since I’ve been anticipating Yahtzee’s eventual review of SHSM. 😀
Volcanic ash and Silent Hill… anyone see the irony in this?
However, I cannot foresee it being pushed back more than 2 weeks, so it should not be regarded as too bad of news for Australians and New Zealanders.
Yahtzee got a UK copy a wee while back-I’m hoping his review of it will be up tonight 🙂
@Brandon: Haha yeah it’s pretty funny that ash has caused the delay!
@Callum: Really? Awesome! I didn’t know he got the UK copy I’m looking forward to his review 😀
Epic. It looks like this game is attracted to delays. Even if it was planned it wouldn’t be that good. xD
P.S. It should have been snow not ash. 😛
I always thought the original silent hill was foggy because of smoke and ash in the air.
