Silent Hill Haunted Attraction Preview

Theme Park Adventure’s 365 Days of Halloween was able to get a sneak preview of Sinister Pointe’s Silent Hill Haunted House. So far it doesn’t look like there’s anything from Silent Hill Shattered Memories I’m just seeing imagery from Silent Hill Homecoming and the Silent Hill movie!

Something Sinister Comes this Way

By Rick West

“The second maze at Sinister Point is going to be its signature piece… Silent Hill.

Silent Hill, in case you don’t know, is based on both the film and the wildly-popular video games by Konami Digital Entertainment. Trapped in a surreal world of bizarre settings and horrible creatures, guests will find themselves smack-dab in the middle of the Silent Hill world – and then some. If you haven’t yet seen the film, or played the video games, you may want to as “research”, because just about every inch of this maze is straight out of the Silent Hill legacy. I personally have only seen the film, as I suck miserably at video games. But after being walked through this attraction, I would love to sit down in a quiet room with the lights off and play the game non-stop. That is good news for Konami, because I’m sure I won’t be the only person feeling this way.

And for those wondering, yeah, the support that Jeff has gotten from Konami is huge. They are all-in, and that has made Jeff’s life much easier in bringing this maze to life. The synergy is exciting and great for both companies – but trust me when I say that the Silent Hill maze is anything but a blatant commercial for Konami. Silent Hill is a gorgeous, very spooky maze that will no doubt, scare the hell out of visitors.

Expect to see some of your favorite scenes from both the film and the video games as you explore the world of Silent Hill. And yes, guests will come face-to-face with Pyramid Head. In fact, Jeff and his crew have gone to great lengths to bring the world of Silent Hill to life for their guests – and the buzz has been fantastic. There are even Silent Hill fanatics flying in from other states to experience this attraction – that says a lot for the faith that people have in Jeff and it shows how dedicated the Silent Hill fan base is.

Jeff promises terror in abundance, absolute detail to the Silent Hill properties and assures us that you’ll all be shocked by some of the elements they’ve incorporated into this attraction! Theme Park Adventure echoes that statement completely.”

I’m going myself in October so I’ll be sure to let you know what I think as a Silent Hill fan 🙂

I remember hearing about the local “haunted ship” event (which takes place on an actual old ship, the William A. Irvin) here in Duluth once had a Resident Evil theme. If it did a Silent Hill theme, I would be the happiest woman on the planet.
