Yay looks like we have a new update from the Official SH:SM blog…I didn’t think we would have one this week considering there wasn’t an update on Tuesday. Nothing really Silent Hill: Shattered Memories related this time around. Instead Tomm talked about how the Konami employee’s celebrated Halloween and various Halloween related game lists that appear on the internet 🙂 Near the end Tomm brought up the idea of a “Let’s Play Along journey through the original Silent Hill leading up to the release of Shattered Memories.” I think it’s a fun idea myself! Make sure to let him know what you think and leave a comment on the blog!

Fog and Candy Corn

I know this is pretty late but I only now really had the time to post this! Last Thursday the Official Silent Hill: Shattered Memories blog had a new update from James Sharman the Technical Lead Programmer on Shattered Memories. In the latest post programming aspect of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was discussed including the lighting engine and some of the difficulties faced programing all the with the streaming levels. 🙂 Go check it out and make sure to leave a comment or two!

Just a small update, I received my TGS 2009 Silent Hill: Shattered Memories flyer this morning and scanned it in.

It’s Tuesday and you know what that means…another production blog update on the Official Silent Hill: Shattered Memories blog! In the latest entry Tomm discusses the various challenges in creating similar game experience across three different platforms: Wii, PSP and PS2…especially a game with no loading screens! Not being a technical person myself I found it interesting to read what sort of difficulties the programmers run into! Be sure to check it out 🙂

Remember a couple weeks ago I mentioned a sweepstakes Gamesradar was holding where you could win an Xbox 360 and copy of Konami’s Silent Hill Shattered Memories or Saw videogames? Well on my lunch break today I picked up the latest Official Xbox magazine for their Assassin’s Creed 2 coverage (I super excited for this as well!) and I was surprised to find a print ad for the Gamesradar contest! The ad states Silent Hill: Shattered Memories will be out this November but I highly doubt that will really be the case. From my own experience as a graphic designer I know magazine ads are often submitted weeks and sometimes months before they are even printed so I have a feeling this ad was submitted way before the recently announced game delay.

According to gonintendo we now have a different PAL art for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

I still like the one eyed Harry better, oh well at least it’s not cluttering the front with E3 awards like the NSTC cover

For the latest blog post Tomm wants to hear our thoughts on Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on the Konami forums. I’ve already popped on over the forums to state my optimism…so what are y’all waiting for? Love it or hate it so far? Make sure to let them know! 🙂

Tomm discusses Konami’s visit to the Silent Hill maze, looks like we can expect some neat video game references. I’m going myself this Saturday so I’m really excited!

Sam Barlow discusses some of work that’s help influence the look, story and gameplay of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. I myself have only seen Hitchcock’s Vertigo but my interest has been piqued for the others!

We have our first sighting of a Silent Hill: Shattered Memories ad by vanbakura from the Helldecent forums in the recent Astonishing X-men. Vanbakura doesn’t own a scanner but was able to take a cellphone picture

Makes you wonder…if the game isn’t being released this year in the US why start the ad campaign?

EDIT: I bought myself an X-men comic after work (Uncanny X-Men Vol 1 #516) and scanned in the ad 🙂
