    Privacy warning:

“Entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned.”

  2. Whitney says:

Isn’t that true of most sweepstakes contests?

If one country is instigating genocide, it would admissible for another country as well? Language qualifiers subconsciously admit recognition of a negative trait regarding the matter. Loss of individual privacy is much further a greater wrongdoing than robbery or physical assault.

It’s a standard contest rule that basically means that what you enter in the contest can’t be returned to you. For example, the postcard you could send in in this particular contest or an essay, video or whatever in another. It just covering the contest sponsor’s butts so they don’t get people claiming they want their essay, video, tiger name or whatever back because they didn’t win the contest. It’s nothing sinister, Gamesradar.com isn’t going to (heaven forbid) hold your email address ransom or anything and it’s sure as hell not in the same league as genocide. It’s a standard copy in any contest even googling it brings up a whole bunch of contest rules from things like:

    – CNN’s Tanzania Ultimate Safari Sweepstakes
    – Kalamazoo Gazette: 13th Annual Community Literary Awards
-TBS – Hass Avocado “The Big Hit” Sweepstakes
-TNT and Kay Jewelers Librarian Treasure Hunt Sweepstakes
    – Mamamia Rocktober 2009
-“Name the Panda” for some iphone app

If you are uncomfortable giving away your email or sending in a postcard don’t enter.
