Voices in the Static #4 – An Interview with Tomm Hulett

Posted By: Whitney   March 6th, 2012 | 9:00 am

In this very special fourth episode to gear up for the Month of Silent Hill I’m joined by fellow Silent Hill fan Cj Melendez from Rely on Horror and we interview Silent Hill producer Tomm Hulett!

During the interview we discuss Tomm’s start at Konami, including the what Silent Hill Homecoming could have been (oh God…), the upcoming Silent Hill releases this month and various other general Silent Hill topics.

I want to give a big thanks to Tomm Hulett for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak so candidly with us fans. It was a real treat and I hope you all enjoy :)

LoL it was going to be trilogy
and they were fighting for the Town XD OMG

  2. I really love Tom. He deserves an applause! I can’t wait for next week! I’m actually leaving Mass Effect 3 for after all the Silent Hill Madness. lol.

I Have to admit that having Heather and Alex kick some ass would have been EPIC but I understand that a lot of the plot wouldn’t make sense. I think its just that I love Heather too much and want her to return again. But I can control myself and have her never return. I must say I am in love with her deep voice in the HD Collection. HOTNESS!!! <3

Anyway, great podcast. I loved listening to it while eating lunch. lol.

That was an awesome interview podcast!!
All I can say to that trilogy idea is LMFAO. Seriously, I am glad that it never came about because Homecoming is bad enough as it is! lol. When I played Homecoming, I was dreading all new releases, but I think that Tomm really knows what he’s doing with Downpour so I am definitley looking forward to it now. Sadly, because of the annoying UK release dates, I won’t be able to afford Downpour for a while, but I will pick it up, I promise. If I don’t like it however, I think I’ll still be able to have respect for it.

I really have no idea why people hate SH4 so much. It might be different, but it’s still a bloody fantastic game! It certainly scared the sh*t out of me. I think it’s awesome how you never know what to expect every time you enter Henry’s flat.

Anyway, awesome podcast! (I think I say that on every post, but whatever lol)

  7. avatar boo says:

Can’t wait for Silent Hill to kick off next week.

  14. avatar Alex says:

LMAO, Tomm is hilarious – he’s awesome.

Great podcast, you guys. Enjoyed it through and through.
People will stare at me – but I wouldn’t mind three games with Alex Shepherd, but that’s most likely only because I liked him and Homecoming.

  15. avatar Matt S says:

Awesome interview; thanks to all and Tomm of course for taking the time to talk with the fans!

  16. avatar FlayedSounds says:

    Nice interview!

I’m glad Tomm prevented all those terrible things about Homecoming such as the Alessa vs Josh fight…

The Book Of Memories soundtrack seems really interesting, I can’t wait to hear it.

  17. avatar xHiddenTruthx says:

I really loved hearing about what could of happened in Homecoming and I am glad Tomm Hulett stepped in!. As for the rain theme, thinking over it a little more, I can understand the idea for it. I mean Silent Hill 1 and 3 were rust, fire and fog which symbolized Alessa/Heather being burned as a sacrifice. Silent Hill 2 didn’t go the same route, it was more of a mixture. I like it. Can’t wait for the 13th, got the game preordered already! :)

  18. avatar Miranda says:

Wow, I always had this big hatred of Tomm Hulett for sort of messing with newer Silent Hill games, but apparently, he prevented a lot of worse things from happening! Thanks Tomm!

    Great podcast guys!
