Nightmare Messages
During your struggle to survive the Nightmare Worlds we get a little insight into the home life of the Mason family which we need to use to free ourselves from each particular nightmare.
Below are variations of messages you can recieve in the game.
Nightmare Messages #1 – Family VacationThe Masons have gone on a family vacation but it appears it will be cut short due to Dahlia and Harry not getting along. It’s the beginning of the end of their relationship. |

Frozen Family in Cabin
The frozen Mason family occupies the cabin. Cheryl sits on the couch looking back at her mother who sits at a side table with her head in her hands. Behind Dahlia lies a broken vase and the Harry stands with with his hands held out slightly forward. Where: Cabin in Woods Nightmare World |

Type of Message : Voicemail
1) “Yeah, I’m taking us back early” 2) “Get out of bed, play with your daughter!” 3) “I can’t put up with it anymore” 4) “The last thing we needed was time alone together” After Solving the Puzzle Cheryl suffers a accident involving glass. Harry and Dahlia freak. Type of Message : Voicemail 1) “What now? You’ve broken a glass. Is that blood” 2) “Be careful. Where’s your dad?” 3) “Was that your glass? What was she doing” 4) “Oh God, she’s bleeding!” |

Nightmare Message #2 – Midwich High SchoolIn these messages we learn that Cheryl’s high school years were not that pleasant for her. She was harassed by other students and had a romantic relationship with a married teacher. I assume the teacher is Mr. Gordon given that when you call his number found scrawled on a desk in classroom 4-D it’s clear he’s being harassed by students. In one variation there’s mention of students spreading these vile rumors and with what we see during this nightmare the rumors have got to be about his relationship with Cheryl. |

Frozen Girls Pounding on Entrance
Where: Midwich High School Main Entrance As you approach Harry receives a voicemail from a teenage girl willing to unlock the door only if you play paparazzi for her and take pictures of another student (Cheryl) back inside the school. |

Type of Message : Voicemail 1) “I told you she’s with him” 2) “Gonna nail that sleazy bastard” 3) “You get a journalism credit if we catch them red handed” |

Where: Midwich High School Main Entrance As you approach the door back into the school courtyard Harry receives a text message outlining where you need to go to take the photos. |

Nightmare Message #3 – Hospital VisitI believe these messages are shortly after Cheryl’s accident back in the cabin. We can see the rift between Harry and Dahlia growing larger and larger with Cheryl in the middle. |

Hospital Call
Where: Alchemilla Hospital Approach the frozen man sitting in a visitor’s chair next to a child sitting up in the hospital bed and receive a voice mail that replays Harry’s past hospital visit with Cheryl. |

Type of Message: Voicemail 1) “I have to check with that nurse…” 2) “Yeah well I’ll be here another half hour!” 3) “She’s eaten nearly all the chocolate I bought” 4) “Though she says she’d rather see you” After Solving the Puzzle Once the door is open you receive another voice mail in which you hear Mrs. Mason’s view on Harry’s hospital visit. Type of Message : Voicemail 1) “I don’t know, surrounded by nurses” 1) “He’s trying to make me feel bad” 1) “He’s spoiling her silly trying to make himself better about it” 1) “I want to go visit but he’s doing a good enough job” |

Nightmare Message #4 – Trip to the MallHarry and Cheryl are out shopping in the mall but a phone call interrupts them. It made obvious Harry cares for Cheryl but his thoughts were occupied with either her marital or philandering depending on the type of Harry your psych profile created. |

Gumball Shake Up
Where: Toluca Mall Approach the frozen Cheryl pulling Harry toward a large “Gumball Shake Up” machine receive a new voice mail with Harry’s one-sided conversation with Dahlia or another woman while getting gum for Cheryl |

Type of Message : Voicemail
1) “Why are you shouting?” 2) “When did anyone get a sugar rush off gum?” 3) “I can’t, I’m shopping. With my daughter.” 4) “That’s hardly spoiling her” After Solving the Puzzle Once the exit is open you receive another voicemail of Harry and Cheryl’s conversation after she receives the gum from the machine. Type of Message : Voicemail 1) “We need to get back to help Mom.” 2) “We need a drink before we start shopping properly!” 3) “You come here and we can meet up.” 4) “Last one to the escalators is it!” |

Nightmare Message #5 – Tunnel of LoveHere we see Harry and Dahlia reminising over the start of their relationship and what they’ve lost. I believe shortly after this Day Trip to Lakeside they made the decision to split. |
