After his car accident Harry wakes to experience every parent’s worst fear- his seven year old daughter, Cheryl, is no where in sight and most likely scared, alone and desperate for his help. Caring little over the his own injuries and despite his selective amnesia Harry ventures into Silent Hill to find his daughter and bring her to safety.

Harry’s missing little girl. A happy child she loves spending time with her father, collecting pretty bugs like butterflies, and is often seen clutching a brown bear in a striped tie.

Occupation: Psychoanalyst

Not a lot is revealed about Dr. Michael Kaufmann during the course of the game but if his manner during therapy is anything to go by it’s obvious that he’s no ordinary doctor.

Often abrasive and sarcastic he tends to rub players the wrong way. It makes you wonder how he’s kept his practice for so long! The tests and personality exercises completed in his office ultimately help shape the characters you meet and the environments you explore in Silent Hill.

Occupation: Silent Hill Police Officer

After spending her childhood riding in her father’s own patrol car and a quarter of her adult life on the Silent Hill police force, Cybil believes she knows the town and the community inside and out…that is is until she runs into Harry Mason.

Even with her hands full trying to keep the town in order during the severe blizzard when she makes the search for little Cheryl Mason her top priority. Harry’s seemly bizarre behavior and disregard for her authority however causes her to question the circumstances regarding his accident prompting her to investigate Harry’s past and eventually questioning her own sanity.

A mysterious young woman who often calls and texts Harry during his search for Cheryl. She has a no-nonsense attitude and a sharp tongue that Harry experiences first hand on meeting in the Balkan nightclub for the first time. While she acts like they’ve known each other for ages Harry’s own confusion about her sudden appearance and lack of recognition exasperates her…but according to Dahlia it’s not the first time Harry has acted this bizarrely.

Occupation: Singer and sometimes bartender at the Balkan Night Club

Harry meets this lovely songbird in the Midwich High School gymnasium that’s surprising set up for a high school reunion instead of an emergency shelter he expected. Disappointed that she seems to be the only one who made it to the party Michelle offers to help Harry in his search for his daughter while waiting for her boyfriend to arrive in Silent Hill.

Occupation: ER Nurse at Alchemilla Hospital

A friendly nurse the Harry meets in Alchemilla hospital who has suffered a car accident of her own after falling asleep at the wheel of her car/ambulance. A concerned Harry walks her home at the Nightingale Apartments when she refuses to receive care inside the hospital.

Overworked and working back to back double shifts Lisa claims the only thing keeping her going is the self medication of prescription drugs which in itself indicates that she also might have a prescription drug problem.

Currently single Lisa claims she doesn’t need a good man just a good podiatrist but admits to Harry she usually falls for men who remind her of her father. She also has a well meaning mother that often calls her.

Occupation: Lawyer

Michelle’s boyfriend of five years who is currently living in Massachusetts and has come back to Silent Hill for a visit.

Occupation: Tends and owns the Good Old Days Sports Bar or Good Ol’ Days (Irish Pub)

A friendly older woman who works in the bar across from Diner 52. Despite the unusually snowy weather she’s tending bar in hopes of some weather weary customers. She’s quite distressed to hear of Harry’s loss and is quick to offer to call assistance and a drink to warm him up.

Occupation: Mike is a doctor or both are School Teachers

Mike and Lucy Stewart currently reside at 1206 Levin Street, the address on Harry’s license with their daughter Katie. Harry accuses them of not only taking his daughter but illegally living on his property despite their claims of residing in the residence for the past fourteen years. Weary of the seemly deranged man they shut the door in his face and call the police.
