I’m making videos in which I point out easily missed details from Deadly Premonition. Only 2 so far but there are more to come!

Thank you all so much for entering the DP redesign cover contest. I received a lot of great entries and I’m sad I could only pick one…

I ended up with a tie so I asked two of my friends to look through all the entries and give their own scores which up the possible total score to 150 points and also provided me with a tie breaker!

Okay contest time folks! We all know the US game cover is pretty ridiculous…well I want you guys to give it a redesign! The best cover redesign will win a set of my Deadly Premonition trading cards.

All entries will be judged in the following categories:

1) Concept (10 points)
2) Originality (10 points)
3) Creativity (10 points)
4) Execution (10 points)
5) Overall impact (10 points)

Total of 50 points possible

The cover with the highest overall score will be declared the winner!

Last month I was inspired to make the 65 trading cards you can collect in game a reality after seeing a fabulous fan made Deadly Premonition playing card deck over on Deviantart. I finished the set over the Thanksgiving weekend and just received the printed cards in the mail today! They came out great!

The card fronts are a screencap of the card as you see it in-game but with some touchups: I re-typed the text, redrew the solid color border elements and made other minor edits (like fixing the spelling of “Turkey” on the Turkey sandwich card) so the final print would be a bit crisper overall. The card backs design is entirely my own creation using the in-game card descriptions, my own game screencaps and a stock photo or two.

So what do you guys think? I would love to give a set to SWERY and I plan on giving away a set as a prize in a contest for the site but I’m not sure what it will entail just yet… I’ll keep you posted!
