Deadly Premonition is finally hitting Europe, is anyone looking forward to the release that hasn't gotten to play?

Personally I think it's great and I'm excited that DP did well enough here in the US to make publishers overseas consider putting the game out.

BTW what do you think of the Box art?

I like that box art. I think it fits with the game more than the U.S. box art does. I still wonder why they don't release the PS3 version in the NA and PAL territories as well, it's not like it's as far behind the 360 as it used to be.

Yeah I like this better than the US boxart which is usually how it goes. US version gave off the wrong vibes to this game. But what boxart really could summarize the unique game that DP is? Either way, this boxart is much more fitting...I never could really get into the look of the raincoat killer though. Must just be the raincoat. :P

I liked him a lot; much better than what he looked like under it

His design was like a typical american urban legend but he was slightly more unique. I think it fit really well in the game and I still really like his simplistic yet menacing look.

Personally I'm not really fond of any of the DP cover art. The US one looks like a cheap horror film cover and the UK and Japanese ones are rather boring. it would have been cool if they took a more simplistic approach similar to the PAL Heavy Rain cover. Like showed a couple red seeds on a wet street. Or hey even the Raincoat killer only reflected in a puddle.

Actually scratch that they just need the cover to show FK in the coffee :D

I actually like that idea a lot.

Of course, nothing can beat a shot of FK for a cover.

Spoiler: show
Lol George when he ate the seeds?
Oh god...haha.

A more simple box art like that sounds much better to me, I especially would have liked the red seeds on the road with the raincoat killer's reflection in a puddle.

F K...in the coffee...it never fails! :terribly awkward smile: Wonder what people who never played it would think of that box art lol.

Stickied, for great justice!

Three days until York gets to ride on a double-decker bus. And, um, whatever else you do in Europe. (Just kidding, he can drink tea with the Queen too. That's what they do in Germany, right?)

Spain, the Netherlands and Germany are just a few of the other places he'll get to visit, too! Kudos to Rising Star for giving York all those subtitles; something tells me he's monolingual.

While I really do like the US box art (that's what really caught my attention), this art is more true to the game. Regardless, they'll be getting an awesome game.

Dumb question: I'm going by previous experience from Ignition with Spy Fiction, where the voice acting is different (In the US: the villain Dietrich is German while in Europe Dietrich has an American accent). Does anyone know if their voice actors have changed at all?

I'm almost 100% sure the answer is no. The subtitles have been localized in several languages but the dialogue has never changed. I can see why they would have done that for SF, but I can't see why they would do that for DP. I still haven't played SF yet even though I own a copy...

Also, I'll be putting this on the site and elsewhere in a couple days, but in the meantime here's a sneak preview:

I'm a sucker for really bad puns. I would have liked to do a UK in the Coffee tag but I've used that line enough and I keep forgetting it's not just the UK that's getting the game...

Spoiler: show
That shadow is supposed to be York but it looks like he's shooting himself in the head. I guess that's not entirely inappropriate. :?
