Someone who I tweet, Tweeted he finished Deadly Premonition on Hard mode without even knowing he chose the difficulty.

Hmm I wonder how that happened since the difficulty menu is in right in your face when you start a new game! XD I still need to beat DP on normal and easy myself!

He was probably impatient and was aimlessly clicking the button and twirling the joystick. You do have to give the game quite a few 'oks' before it gets to anything.
