Looking to Pre-Order the Toymunkey RPT Statue?

December 19th, 2012 | 10:54 pm

The Toymunkey Studios Facebook page as been a buzz the last few days about the upcoming release of the Red Pyramid Thing statue. The statue has been release in Japan for the last few weeks (and there’s been several on auction sites for $200 + for sale) but there hasn’t been much information where we can put in our pre-orders domestically.

I contacted Toymunkey last night asking where fans can start placing their orders and I was informed that domestic retailers are starting to advertise the statue for sale and most comic and toy shops should have it for pre-order right now and that Tokymunkey will have a full list of retailers up on their site by the end of the year.

One thing I can confirm is that major distributors have only just now begun to solicit Toymunkey’s RPT and should be available to pre-order at any comic or toy shop. If fans have a local shop they like, please urge them to contact before its totally sold out.

A list will be detailed on the site hopefully by the end of the year.

I’ve done some googling and have found the statue up for pre-order on these comic shop/toy sites so far:

Midtown Comics – $139.99

Cinequest – $142.16

Big Bad Toy Store -$149.99

Urban Collector – $158.99

Things from Another World – $159.99 (pre-order deadline 12/26)

Comics America – $185.83

My Collection Video Has Spread

May 7th, 2011 | 11:55 pm

Seems like a lot of other sites has picked up my collection video since Kotaku wrote a feature on it! Here’s all the sites I’ve found so far though I’m a little sad some just reuploaded my video instead of embedding the one on my youtube. LOL oh well! I also find it funny a lot of the foreign site comments wonder why I’m missing some many European games or movie editions…you know it’s probably because I live in US. I would like to get the EU editions of everything eventually but right now my main concentration is US and Japanese releases. :)

As for sites let me know if I’ve missed any!

Konami SH:Homecoming Bogeyman Statue For Pre Order

April 19th, 2011 | 5:02 pm

There’s an official Konami Style Silent Hill: Homecoming Bogeyman resin statue up for pre-order in Japan (which is a little little strange considering the Homecoming game was never published in that region.) The Bogeyman statue along with the Pyramid Head and Valtiel statues released several months back makes this Konami’s third official Silent Hill monster statue release to date.

According to the Konami Style website, Bogeyman will release on May 5 with a mighty expensive retail price of 29,400 yen (about $357 USD)! For those outside of Japan who wish for a Bogeyman of their very own, no need to fret, he is also up for pre-order over at Mio Boutique but with a bit of a markup for 31,500 yen (about $382). Continue reading to see some more shots of this incredibly detailed statue.

Fellow Silent Hill Collector – Steve Kuchan! Other Collector news!

March 9th, 2011 | 12:00 pm

Hi Guys how is it going? It’s a pretty exciting time to be a Silent Hill fan we have new comics, a new game and even a new movie coming out!

I still have a lot I want to do with the site but I’ve been distracted by my two other sites as of late…well mainly my Deadly Premonition website, Welcome to Greenvale.

I do have new items I need to add to the site and I hope to start updating soon…

OH! you guys know about the epic soundtrack boxset from Konami Style that is coming out right? This thing is sick with previously unreleased tracks including “Lost Carol”!

I’m not the only one crazy about Silent Hill. Here’s some other awesome Silent Hill collections I’ve spotted on the net!

Steve Kuchan

His Facebook Gallery of his collection

Steve is a fellow collector who has grown quite a large collection of his own over the past few months. He also has a pretty impressive set up that shows off all the games and items he’s found. It’s really cool he’s been able to get the different platform versions of most of the games. I kinda wish I did the same when I started collecting. :)

He’s also put together a stuffed Robbie the Rabbit of his own! How cute is that? I still wonder why Konami hasn’t mass produced this things…

I swear I’m still here! Big news a SH2 Novel Fan Translation in the works!
