Cj from Rely on Horror downloaded the European demo of Silent Hill Book of Memories and sent me over a whole bunch of screens cause he’s awesome like that! Look for his preview coming soon on the Rely on Horror website!
I can’t wait to give this a try for myself once I get a Vita!
Ooo SHHS visitor Ross Ingram just sent me some screenshots too
Friday was a big day for Silent Hill fans… it was the premiere of the long awaited Silent Hill Revelation 3D trailer!
I’m sure you all have probably watched it by now but if not you can see the full trailer below:
Unfortunately I was busy at work when this trailer was released so I couldn’t really take screens nor could I make this sort of write up earlier. I’m sure I’m terribly late to the party of giving my own thoughts and everyone else has picked apart this trailer by by now! Haha oh well!
With that said, based on what I saw in the trailer I am so excited to see this movie.
Lots of new screens and info on Silent Hill Book of Memories from E3! Maybe a trailer? The download link for that isn’t working at the moment. Hopefully that will work later today. (Got it now) About time we got some sort of info…I was getting worried with all the delays Konami wasn’t going to promote this game at all with anything until release day.
Konami has released TONS of screenshots. We see shots of the updated menus and character customization screens as well as SPOILER shots of bosses and different worlds. I’ve uploaded them all but look at your own risk. Looks like your character can wield a Great Knife and the Butcher’s knife as well and has the option wear Princess Heart ear muffs which is nice fan service.

Full Game Description:
Book of Memories is an all-new game in the Silent Hill series, with a unique premise and storyline. The story begins with a strange book that is received, inside that book is your entire life story to this point, everything that’s ever happened to you; all of your memories. You discover that by altering what’s written… you can actually change the past. You can write your own ideal history.
Book of Memories is a departure for the series, with a focus on co-operative multiplayer action rather than traditional Psychological Horror. Players can work together as they explore several different Otherworlds, solving puzzles and defeating creatures to advance through the Nightmares and uncover the truth behind the Book of Memories. Scare rooms, limited resources, and dark atmosphere all return—but in a gameplay package specifically designed to take advantage of the PlayStation Vita.
Book of Memories is a macabre celebration of the best that Silent Hill has to offer. Players will encounter items and Creatures culled from over a decade of Silent Hill lore, including a special someone who walks softly and carries a gigantic knife.
• The very first Multiplayer Silent Hill – survive horrific nightmare worlds with your friends in a terrifying co-op experience
• Create and customize your own main character
• Features a legion of classic creatures from throughout Silent Hill’s history
• Daniel Licht (Dexter, Silent Hill: Downpour) returns to compose an all-new soundtrack
• Exclusive to PlayStation Vita
Sony Japan has a preview up for Book of Memories. I can’t tell you what it says but the most interesting bit is the new artwork that was included in the article. We see some new screens, concept art for 4 character types and even get a peek at Pyramid Head.
Konami released new screens for the HD Collection, though watch out if you haven’t played Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 there are some game spoilers!
I have to say they look so much better than their previous batches and I see the grain filter has been turned on on the Silent Hill 2 screens. What do you guys think? Getting more excited for the release this month?
Early in December I attended a Konami press event in San Fransisco and had the opportunity to try Silent Hill Downpour, Silent Hill Book of Memories and the HD Collection and talk with Silent Hill producer Tomm Hulett. I already played through most of the HD Collection back in September so I used my time to play-through Downpour and briefly try Book of Memories. Unfortunately, unlike my Downpourhands on preview last September, I could not record myself playing so no accompanying video preview this time around!
