Silent Hill Revelation FB Poster Contest Winners!

Posted By: Whitney   July 17th, 2012 | 10:04 am

The winners were announced in the Silent Hill Revelation FB Poster Contest (fan page no longer it’s now the official facebook page for the movie!) last week while I was away at Comic Con! The three winners all got a copy of the Lakeside Amusement Park poster used on the set of Silent Hill Revelation!

I was able to nab the top spot for the award decided on by fan votes on the page! “The one who will lead us to Paradise with blood stained hands!” It was a really close race at the end the standings were as follows:

Whitney Chavis – 1556 votes
Youssef Sourgo – 1532 votes
Levi Stapler Titus – 1036 votes
Manthos Lappas (from Inner Fear) – 771 votes

I won by 24 votes…I couldn’t believe it! Words can’t express enough love for all my friends, family and strangers who voted and got others to vote for my entry during the contest…especially in the last few hours! You guys are all awesome and I definitely couldn’t have done it without all your help. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You guys made this Silent Hill fan so very happy

The second award “Well, the guest of honor has arrived. Let’s get this party started” chosen by special guest Alex Tuis, concept artist for Silent Hill Revelation 3D, went to Manthos Lappas!

Tuis said he chose Manthos as a winner because

“Manthos is I think the only one who really took so much time to paint his poster”

Runner Ups also chosen by Alex Tuis for this category were:

Whitney Chavis
David Godfrey
Aidan Reale-Key
Kryss Benton

I was totally surprised I was also a runner up in this category as well! It was such an honor to find out that out of the near 200 entries in the contest my design was one of those singled out that concept artist for the film as a runner up! :)

Finally there was the random prize draw winner, “Dead people don’t cry,” for following @emaninTdot went to Cory Cannibal (@TechnoFreaxx)

Congrats everyone!

Want to “Be Buried in Silent Hill”?

Posted By: Whitney   January 25th, 2011 | 1:06 pm

Devin Shatsky, Producer of Silent Hill: Downpour wants Silent Hill fans to submit concept art for creepy burial sculptures to be modeled and included in the graveyard of the upcoming game.

Since Downpour is an original chapter to the Silent Hill series Vatra and Konami would like to see your original artwork. This means they don’t want to see any past Silent Hill characters in your designs…no Pyramid Heads or Harry Masons.

The team will choose six finalists and then the top three will be picked by the fans on the Silent Hill Facebook page. Think you have what it takes? Upload your entry by posting a photo on the Silent Hill Facebook wall.

OSV has a contest to win a promo soundtrack!

Posted By: Whitney   December 8th, 2009 | 4:07 pm

POST YOUR ENTRIES ON OSV’s PAGE, they won’t see it here :)
http://www.originalsoundversion.com/?p=6159

We’ve confirmed that Akira Yamaoka is gone, and while we’re all still wondering what will become of the Silent Hill series in his absence, Konami has generously sent us extra copies of the Silent Hill: Shattered Memories soundtrack to give away to you guys. As this will be the final Silent Hill soundtrack he writes as an employee of Konami, we thought it’d be a good time to reflect upon the Silent Hill franchise and what’s next in terms of the series in general and, more specifically, the direction of the game’s audio in the future.

We’re going to make this one easy and simply require that you comment on this post with your thoughts and predictions to enter. Just make it something thoughtful and more substantial than a few sentences. We’ll continue taking entries until December 21, 2009 at 11:59 PM PST, at which point we’ll pick two winners to receive a copy of the snazzy pre-order bonus. We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
